DPExpert have reviewed the new 24.6 megapixel full frame Digital SLR the Sony Alpha A900 - it has an optical viewfinder with 100% coverage, SteadyShot INSIDEâ„¢, dual BIONZâ„¢ image processor, 3.0-inch Xtra Fine LCD, and 5fps continuous shooting at full resolution. The camera is available from Amazon.
“Sony tell us that this isn’t their professional camera. It is intended for the well-heeled amateur who is either a fan of the brand or has some legacy Minolta lenses in the bag. So it sells against the Nikon D700 and the Canon 5DII – formidable opposition. The Sony compares well with the other two, but the Zeiss lens, while sensationally good, is high-priced.”

Digital Camera Info have reviewed the new Casio Exilim EX-Z300 - the compact camera features a 10 megapixel sensor, a wide angle 4x optical zoom lens, 3″ screen, ISO3200, make up mode (to remove blemishes), and will be available in 3 colours. The camera is available for £185
“The Z300 isn’t a bad camera, it’s just thoroughly mediocre with an annoying menu system. It did very well in a couple of tests, like resolution, dynamic range and manual noise, but struggled with automatic noise levels, video resolution and white balance. In our speed tests it handled slowly, and the maximum shutter speed of 1/2 second without using a special scene mode is restrictive.”
