Sanyo were showing the new Sanyo VPC-S1070 in white at Photokina - the camera features a 10 megapixel sensor, 2.4″ screen, 3x optical zoom lens, ISO1600, trim body, digital anti shake and takes AA batteries.

DMX-HD800, a new sleek, slim high definition dual camera Xacti can take both 8.0-Megapixel stills and videos(1280 x 720, 720p). It comes with a new three-dimensional digital noise reduction (3DDNR) filter, and adds facial recognition for both stills and videos with scanner visible on LCD. It is compatible with personal computers and/or upload video data to the Internet. Available in Gold, Pink, and Black. It will begin rolling in late August. Sanyo’s Xacti HD1010 boasts a full 1920 x 1080 (1080i) resolution recording, “Face Chaser” face detection technology, 300fps slow motion mode, 4.0-megapixel stills, SDHC card slot, 10x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. Sanyo this day introduced their new Xacti DMX-CA8 camcorder that offers 8MP CMOS sensor, 5x optical Zoom, face Chaser mode that does facial recognition even when underwater, compatible with JIS IPX5 and IPX8 Japanese standard, waterproof up to 1 hour underwater at 1.5m depth, and can record video files in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 at 60fps in VGA.
