Hasselblad comes back with the spanking new 50-megapixel H3DII-50. The camera features a 36 X 48mm Kodak sensor that generates 300MB files at 1FPS. The good news is that the owners of the H3DII-39 can trade it up for the H3DII-50. The camera will be released in October 2008. Sadly, the pricing info is still unknown. [Engadget]

The Casio EX-F1 has received the latest firmware update. The firmware 1.10 adds the new “Prerecord Movie” function that allows video capture of 5 seconds before the photographer actually presses the button. This update is compatible with the EX-F1’s 300 fps, 600 fps, 1200 fps, and 30-300 fps high-speed movie modes, the 1,920 x 1,080-pixel full HD movie mode and the 1,280 x 720-pixel HD movie mode. LancerLink from Japan will release their new video camera in July 2008. Known as the DDV-1080HD, the camera offers a 1/2.5″ 5MP CMOS sensor, SD/SDHC/MMC slot (up to 32GB), 3.0 inch LCD screen, 2x digital zoom, and USB2.0 port. It also able to record video in 1080p at 30fps or 720p at 60fps in .MOV format. The Lancerlink DDV-1080HD HD Camera is priced at €300. [Akihabara]

Ricoh’s latest digital camera, the GX200, provides removable tilting electronic viewfinder, 12MP resolution, a 2.7 inch LCD display, and smooth Imaging Engine III processor. There is no word on pricing. [dpreview]

Check out the latest AVCHD powered camera from Sony, the HDR-CX12. Measuring 69mm x 67mm x 129mm and weighing 420grams (with battery), the camcorder features a new Exmor CMOS sensor with 10MP ClearVid 1/3.13-inch and the BIONZ technology. The HDR-CX12 sports Full HD recording 1920×1080i in AVCHD (Mpeg4 AVC/H.264, 16Mbps), the HDV support (1440×1080i) in 5/7/9Mbps and HDMI output. Other features include smile shutter and face detection, Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T 12 optical zoon lens, a 2.7-inch LCD, 5.1 surround sound microphone, and Memory Stick PRO Duo (4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo (Mark2) in the box) storage. Sony HDR-CX12 will be out in Japan in July but will hit stateside by August for around $900. It will be sold with a 8GB Memory Stick since it has no Hard Disk Drive. [Akihabara]
