The BenQ DC C1060 is a 10MP compact digital camera that boasts a 2.7-inch LCD screen and 3x optical zoom. The DC C1060 also adopts a “Super Shake Free” system and Smile Catch to capture best quality pictures and 10 creative photos frames to give the photos an individual touch. It records video at 720 x 400 or 640 x 480 resolution. What makes this camera cool is that it comes with a stylish leather texture grip. No word on pricing or release date at this time. Casio has released the latest firmware updates version 1.01 for the EX-FH20 digicam. The update will improve the performance of the EX-FH20’s memory card storage when shooting movies. Just remember that if firmware update installation is interrupted due to low battery power, your camera will no longer be able to operate. So you must use the fully recharged battery before starts the firmware update installation procedure. [Photography Bay]

The DSC-T77 is a new thin digital camera from Sony that comes with some cool specs including a 3-inch LCD touchscreen with an updated intelligent scene recognition technology, Smile Shutter and face detection technologies, a high sensitivity shooting(up to ISO 3200), and eleven scene modes. General Imaging (GE) has rolled out three point-and-shoot digital cameras at Photokina 2008. The first one is the GE E1055W that’s a 10.1MP camera with a 3-inch LCD monitor, blink / smile detection and a 5x optical zoom. The second camera is the GE E1050TW, which can record high definition motion picture at 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. And Finally, the GE A1030 that offers a 3x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD, ultrathin design and super-simplistic button arrangement. These three digital cameras will be available soon. [Engadget]
