DPReview have reviewed the new 14.7 megapixel Canon Powershot G10 - an update to the G9 - it features a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, RAW support, 3″ screen, VGA video recording and ISO1600. The Canon G10 is available for £359:
“The G10 is a camera you don’t want to put down once you’ve picked it up. It encourages users to take photos, and turn the dials: to experiment and have fun. This is one heck of a fun camera to use. In the hand, it inspires confidence with solid construction and secure and comfortable hand grip. The G10 swiftly becomes second nature to use, which isn’t something that can be said of many compacts.”

Photography BLOG have reviewed the Canon Powershot SX10 IS, it has a wide angle 20x optical zoom lens, optical image stabilisation, ISO1600, a 10 megapixel CCD sensor, VGA video recording, and a swivel 2.5″ screen. The camera is available for £265
“A sturdy plastic brick of a camera, the Canon PowerShot SX10 IS builds on its S5 predecessor chiefly with that bigger and better lens range, though ease of use has also been improved. What is been kept is the tilt-and-swivel LCD and dedicated record button for instant video clips – sensible, as both help this Canon stand out from the ’superzoom’ crowd.”
