If you always have trouble in finding gifts for your loved ones, why not let them select what they want. Simply give them this $50 gift card and you’ll put a large smile on their face. This Target gift card also works as digital camera with specs include 1.2MP sensor with 50MB storage capacity, not to mention you’ll also get a USB cord, driver disk and a voucher that grants you to print up to 40 photos at Target. Microsoft has announced its new Photosynth application that can turn normal digital pictures into 3D, 360-degree experiences. By providing large collections of photographs in the number of hundreds, Photosynth analyses each photo you upload for similar characteristics, and uses that data to recreate and map the environment digitally. Anybody else who sees your “synth” is put right in your shoes, sharing in your experience, with detail, clarity and scope impossible to achieve in conventional pictures or videos. Excellent program you can use, right before you bring down the home for renovation - or move to a nicer apartment, incase you get nostalgic someday! [Photosynth]

Olympus has announced a new model to its mju line-up yesterday. Mju 1060 also features the same 7x optical zoom lens as Mju 1010. The camera includes functions such as Advanced Face Detection, Perfect Shot Preview, Dual Image Stabilization, Shadow Adjustment Technology, Noise Reduction and also an Intelligent Auto Mode for newbies. The intelligent Auto (iAuto) function detects different scenes and automatically optimize the settings for the shot. The 2.7-inch LCD seen on the Mju 1010 has now been upgraded to 3 inches on the Mju 1060. This is useful for viewing photos with a group of friends, as well as for framing shots. It is excellent point and shoot camera with long zoom range, but if you already have 1010, there might not be enough motivation to purchase 1060 as a replacement. 1060 has several colors to select from, like Starry Silver, Midnight Black, Cyan Green and Pink. The Mju 1060 will be available in Asia from end August, but pricing is TBD. [CNET]
